Hey this is Chris, owner of Reel River Adventures. I have assembled a team of likeminded, client-focused guides who will do their very best to ensure you have a great experience. We cover 100+ miles, across 3 rivers in custom jet boats designed to get you where the bass are.
Enjoy our website.
From March through December, as weather and river conditions allow, we are on the water 6-7 days a week. We run 19-20' Custom Jet-Boats that accommodate 2 anglers very comfortably. A third youth angler can be added when river levels allow.
Trips can be booked for 4, 6, or 8 hour outings. During the summer months, 3-4 hour evening trips are available and can be combined with a 5-hour morning outing to beat the heat and get the value of a full 8-hour outing. These are called Split Trips. Lodging accommodations can be provided.
The age-old slogan drives me bonkers,
"That's why they call it fishing not catching."
And while we cannot guarantee trophy fish or control mother nature, I do trust this fishery and my team's ability to put anglers in position to "catch." If you don't catch bass, you do NOT pay!
As guides, each one of us is passionate about fishing. We are a team who does not fish or compete against our clients. The only time we should be holding a fishing rod, is to show techniques and help locate fish should the bite slow down. None of us wish to poach a trophy from our clients. Our attention is 100% on you!

At an early age Glenn had a passion for tournament bass fishing. After winning a number of local, regional and state tournaments, a fire was lit. In 1990, Glenn won the Virgina State Pro Am Champion. He fished the Red Man Trail, VA Bass Assoc, VA Bass Federation and the Bassmasters Tournament. Glenn competed against tour pros like Kevin VanDam, Ricky Clunn, Denny Brauer, Jimmy Houston, Larry Nixon and Woo Daves just to name a few. Glenn has spent a lifetime in the fishing arena. For the past 30+ years, Glenn has worked as fishing rep for a national tackle distributor and has won multiple top sales awards. Glenn has made fishing a lifetime career and has fished all over the eastern US. Glenn lives in the Harrisburg area with his wife Dawn and his son Matthew. Both support his life long dream of guiding on the Susquehanna River.
Carl Stokes (aka Capt. Catfish) is our premier Multi-Species Guide. He was born in Alabama and moved to Pennsylvania during his teens. We only knew him as 'Bama'. Carl joined the Army in 1987 and served in two Military Branches, the Army for 13 years and the Air Force for 9 years. During his years of service, Carl became a highly decorated marksman in the Army from 1987-2000 and the Air Force 2001-2010. After his military career, he competed on the Governor's Six in the state of New Jersey for a period of time. As long as I have known Bama, his true passion is fishing-- Bass, Catfish, Shad, Stripers, you name it, he chases it. Carl's wife Laura currently holds the Stokes family record for largest bass on the river at 5.1 lbs. Carl, claims it was all due to his guiding and expert netting skills.
Come spend the day with Carl in his boat appropriately named the 'Bama Breeze.'
Don Hardy has been married to his lovely wife Laurie for 41 years. He has 3 children and 4 grandchildren. You do not have to chat with Don long before his passion for fishing becomes apparent. Like all of us here on the Reel River Adventures team, chasing bass all over the US and Canada has been a lifetime of enjoyment. What many may not know about Don, is that he is one heck of an athlete. Don played collegiate level baseball at Brandywine Junior College and at the University of New Mexico. He is also a huge Philadelphia sports fan, especially when it comes to the Philly's and Eagles.
Don loves jazz, the theater, and golf. He was the Vice President of Sales in the logistics industry before retiring at the end of 2023. He has been fishing the Delaware River for 50 years and the North Branch of the Susquehanna for 20 years.
Some of the New for 2024 soft plastics in the Keitech lineup will surely become fan favorites on many of our boats this season. We all know how big a fan Carl is when it comes to fishing a GRUB. This new Keitech Flapper Grub is a winner no matter how you rig or fish a curl tail grub. Those looking for a new Ned profile, especially when the bass are a bit stingy, the Hyper Spider is going to have a lot of potential. Whether rigged on a Ned or on brush jig, this new bait has a lot going on!
Reel River has no affiliation with Rapala, but to ignore some of the New for 2024 soft plastic profiles in their CrushCity Customs lineup would be a mistake. Between the Outdoor & Tackle Shows the past few months, these are getting some well-deserved hype. On a recent fishing outing, Glenn Mongold and I 'Crushed' a few beefy smallmouth bass using the two baits shown above. The Cleanup Craw might be more of a "Leadoff Hitter" for many of us river anglers.
We are excited to announce that Big Joshy Swimbaits are new addition to the Reel River Adventures lineup for 2024. Big Joshy baits are a great fit and we are thrilled to have them as a Pro Staff partner. Beyond their signature swimbaits, Big Joshy offers a swimming Crawfish and a Goby profile that simply produces results. Keep an eye out for our up-coming Reel River eMagazine article in the magazine section above.
